all stock 04 melted piston

well my friend says he had a blown head gasket so i pulled the head off his bone stock truck and found #3 toasted with a cracked cylinder wall, he has 168k miles and just had so called new injectors installed about 1k miles ago, he was pulling out a stuck ford and he says it shut off and wouldnt restart, can you sleeve a cracked cylinder or does the block have to be replaced, its not a big deal cause i have a spare block but i am trying to help the guy out, thanks:Cheer:

Who's injectors? or just place Bosch reman / new?

think its an 04.5, i will get the engine number off of it, supposed to be remanned injectors from ii but the place where he had the work done is a little shady so hard telling i will get pics when i go get the engine number.
