Ok. I've been having power issues since I left michigan.

Started with just not being able to break 2500rpm locked in od, and it would pop and sputter if I tried.
Tonight coming back from the city, it would get to 10psi, and creep back down to 5psi. So I though I might have a boost leak.
Now, while cruising, the rpm drops, and she stalls. And when she runs, I can't make any boost and I can't break 1200rpm.

Me and a very trusted mechanic and friend are thinking fuel pressure, but I can't tell because my glowshift chit itself when I modified the ofv. I've already got a raptor on the way from jamie, so if its the lift pump im set. Im gonna do what testing and tinkering I can come daylight, and help narrow it down.

Basically, im asking for anything else it could be. Anything at all. And please guys, nothing ridiculous, this is kind of an emergency LOL. (I know im crazy for even thinking that, the first post will probably be boobs or tacos lol)

As stupid as this may sound try changing the fuel filter, check the screen on the bottom of the fuel heater and make sure its no plugged full of crap. collapsed air filter or partially plugged? does it smoke like a pig or just not make any rpm? Badly slipped timing?

Yeah, filter and strainer are first on my list come morning. There is absolutely no smoke at all. And she's normally a 2 packs a day girl. I van still free rev just fine. And filter is good.

Thanks scott. The tranny work wasn't necessary yet, but I couldn't pass up the help and experience from those guys. And the good deal they cut me. But this is something I could have done without. I think having a good trans now is allowing me to make full use of the motor and some parts just aren't up to the job.

Make sure the shutdown solenoid is coming up cleanly and locking in as it should? Sounds similar to a friends that was sticking and really killed his power.

Slipped timing?

I don't have the ability to check timing here, but doesn't it blow white smoke when it slips back? And could it slip so much it stalls? Im also leaning more towards fuel because while it stalls at times, sometimes it still idles fine. Timing would be more consistent right?

Newsmoke just texted me reminding me of shutoff solenoid too LOL. Don't know how I forgot about that. Its on the list now.

Sounds like a fuel issue not timing. And it sounds like a feed issue with the pump but you can try pinching the ofv and seeing if it runs better.

K. More and more leaning towards fuel. Im cheering up a little.

Ok, now she fired right up with no help. Runs normal. And the shutoff is moving to its full range, right now anyways.

Now its popping at 2k rpm. Which parts can going from working to bad to working to kinda working in less than 24 hours?

you can check timing...... bar it over to tdc, and stick your finger in the hole on the gear cover... if you cant feel the bump for the tdc pin chances are she's a bit out of wack

Sounds like how my truck ran when my water pump went out, it over heated and fubared my injectors. All six injectors warped a little and spray pattern was all over. However that was the only time I've ever seen that.

What part of the country are you in now anyway?

I pulled ofv, and the pen spring was protruding about 1/4in farther than stock spring. Don't know how that happened. So I trimmed it and put it back in. Now I can turn 2500 rpm again before it starts popping, so im back to my origi al issue. I sure hope the 150 fixes it.
