alternator problems need help

I just replaced my alternator cause thought it was bad but i still get check gauges and then the alt gauge goes down to nothing checked my codes and this is the codes i am getting

P0622
Alternator Field Improper Switching

P1682 charging system to low

anyone have this problem and what do i have to do this to fix it i just put new batterys in 3 months ago and they tested perfect
 
Check and make sure the alternator is charging with a voltmeter, if it is not you most likely are looking at a PCM.
 
yea thats kinda what i was guess i put a voltmeter/load tester on it and it was fine and the pcm is the one on the side of the block right?
 
what about it? i will be going down the road it will be fine then all of a sudden the truck dings and says check gauges and alt gauge drops to nothing
 
I had run into a problem with them doing the exact same thing as you are describing and the fuse cured it with it getting warm it can cause it to go weak brake the circit then cools down and connects and evrything works till warms up again but I have also had it do it with a bad pcm I'm just saying in my thinking I would rather try changing a light before I started chasing a wireing problem...
 
i guess i can try that come to think of it. It started doing it after i was checking what fuse to use to hook up a kill switch
