Alternators, who's last longer?

I need a new alternator. It squealed for a while, stopped charging on the was home for about 3 minutes, and now my batteries are dead after sitting for a week.
So, who makes an alternator worth buying? I had a Napa for about 80k and this from advanced has gone about 100k.
I can't really say those two weren't good ones. I know the market of suppliers has changed since 2007 when I bought my last one.

Leslie Nielson.. upgrade to an industrial.

As far as rebuilds, what is failing? If it's bearings then you need to get high quality bearings which most rebuilds put the $0.99 bearings from china in them...
Rebuild it yourself with a OEM regulator, buy the bearings from a local supplier , FAG/TIMKEN/INA are my preferences on brgs. Electrical motor grade if they have them w/synthetic grease.

Thanks for the reply.
The bearings are singing but that isn't the problem. I corrected it right after I posted this thread. The output lead was damaged pretty badly. I had to graft in some new wire and an eyelet. It still doesn't go directly to 14.6. I haven't had the chance to investigate it further.
