I have no idea what I’m gonna do with it but it was just too good of a deal to pass up. Mexicans stole it from an old dude. They took the bed off and spray painted the bottom of the cab, took the visor and grab handles off. 190k

I bet it was a baby doll before it got stolen.

No.need to look underneath for rust your area of the world.

Cleaned it up a little today. Flares are likely going in the trash. Unless a local needs them, they look factory.

There’s a set of original polished set of weld cheyenne wheels local I’ll likely try to get for this truck.

Still looking for a decent bed, Phoenix AZ area, I’d say I’m willing to travel but I don’t have time really.

Was it actually theft or they just got it way cheaper than it should have been

Theft. Caught 3 fells without papers in it. They took the bed off, rigged a goose neck ball system across the frame rails, had a stole two car low deck they were using to haul stolen cars to the boarder.

Loaded glocks, tied to some bigger ring doing this. Dudes are in jail for a minute, and they were wanted for something else too I Think.

All the police paper work is done and final, truck is free and clear. I’m guessing when the police racked them to check if they were clear this 9mm landed in the drip rail. I found it while I was cleaning it up. I asked the guy I got it from if he saw any of the crime photos and he said they all 3 of the pistols laid out on the passenger hood in the photos with the magazines removed and chambers open. He didn’t say a thing about a shoot out with the cops or anything, guess I’ll never really know how it got there but the old man said “I don’t shoot German nato rounds” when I asked so it wasn’t his.

Anyone know what head and rotor they run?

you had my heart when you said welds

Any of you hillbillies spent money on a ve truck in a while?

I love the pump I have on/in my 09.

Nice find. Please put the welds on there.

You want an electric lift pump on a VE? Or you just need the fuel gauge to function again?

I actually thought long and hard about using that over the sump I bought from someone here a couple years back. The new fuel gauge sender is sweet. I decided on the sump since I already had it. And mechanical lift pumps make me feel warm inside.

I have been working with a 12mm VE truck that just was 47 swapped. He has weston injectors, a 12mm from evan rattcliff and a small stock appearing. He just picked up a draggy and went 8.08 at 86mph. Not bad for an old 1g. 6142 weight. Should be kissing 600 at the tire on fuel.

Left coast, I’d love to run one of his pumps but he says he’s 4 months out right now.

I have emails into a few places and I’ll call Giles on Monday I guess.

I would like to run a savage modified 351 with his 62 wheel in it.

Everyone else, yeah I normally run a second gen style lift pump. Just saw it and I liked how the one in my 09 performs. I was just hunting around for injection pumps and found that, thought it was pretty slick. I agree the price is insane but if a fella needed a sending unit and a lift pump and lines I guess it’s not horrible.

It’s almost a sin to mess with this one.

Came with the factory intake tube, but the old man swears it added 50-60 hp so I have to keep it

I'd put a bed on it, get a decent paint job, and sell it. Make some money.

If you want something fast, buy a camaro or something.

Looks great!
That will be a stout running setup.
4 months is a tad long. It is what it is I guess!

Anyone know of a stainless 5” kit? I hate to do it but FFS lists a 4” stainless.

The 62 is in on order from savage.

Found a bed, it’s not awesome but it’s a bed. I’ll clean it up, bed floor is near perfect.

Visor and lights are here, need to get it painted.

I’ll be straight I’ve always went to a 47. This 46 doesn’t make me mad yet. What’s the go to shift kit? Worth it to put a converter in it? The fist second it shows signs of giving up its getting a 48, so I do not want to throw a bunch of money at the slush box but I’ll give it a few saw bucks. Hygaurd still the go too…..?

I'd go with the Transgo TFOD2 HD2.
I'm not sure if you can get enough line pressure out of a 618 to hurt the factory band strut, but you might want to add a HD strut as well.
For clutch friction reasons, I'd go Dex/Merc.
