Any Better 5th Gear Parts For A Nv4500 Or Just Stock??

Pulled The Rear Off My Tranny Last Night And Sure Enough 5th Gear On Both Shafts Was Totalled. It Broke Pulling A Hill At About 110mph Holding It To The Floor. I Really Doubt There Is Anything, But It By Off Chance I'd Like To Know About Stronger Gears To Replace The Old Ones With. Let Me Know If Anyone Has Any Ideas Or Suggestions, Other Than Staying Out Of The Pedal In 5th, Its To Damn Tempting!
 
Doug from Advanced Diesel Technology can get you cryo'd gears. Thats about the only upgrade I know of. 304-864-3399.

Last time I checked, about twice as much as standard gears. I have blown a few gears into pieces in the past, mostly aftermarket gears. On this last rebuild, Doug used stock New Venture gears, no aftermarket. He said the stockers seem to hold up better.
 
Check out "quad4x4.com"!! They seem to know whats going on with the nv4500 and they have some good solutions. 110mph?!?!?! are just trying to kill it? The main problem problem with fifth was the nuts backing off. Espeacially hammering in fifth!!
 
amen on that one, they dont like to be hammered in 5th, ive had mine around 140 mph, kinda scary, check out quad4x4
