any one have a 2.6 truck 1genner?

thats what im doin if i can get all the darn bugs worked out of her

yep and in the process of putting a double disk in it so i can get the power to the ground!

I usually pull in the 2.6 class around here and do OK but I am no where near a 2.6 truck. I usually end up in the top 5

A buddy of mine(stillsmokin) is building a VE fueled 2.6 though Only got a couple hooks on it last year though. Got to get a good hitch built and figure out some front end issues.

Heres some pics and video of it.

I have a first gen 2.6 pulling truck as pulltilbroke already stated.

It's quite a bit of work to pull the 89-93's and be competitive. I had to ditch the dana 70U and the 3.54 gears in favor of an old GM HO72. I ran a getrag for a while, I swapped it out for a new NV4500 with a 1 3/8" input. That allowed for a 3850 solid hub DD clutch swap. The stock intercooler was tossed and a larger one was swapped in along with my own handmade 3" intercooler tubes to couple it to the ATS arc flow intake. The o-ringed head has been ported and flowed, ARP studs clamp it to the block. I am running an S400 with a heavily tuned 12mm VE.

I am building an "equalizer" (said Reese in Missouri) hitch that walks the line on rules here locally and for Missouri's new rules. I am also in the middle of trying to rework the stock motor mounts so they go solid under torque.

These are just a few of the mods I have done over the years. Some day I will go P7100 and 2 are waiting on the shop shelf. I probably won't go P7100 till next year when I swap in the new motor. But for now setup is my focus and has been providing the biggest gains.

This is off-topic but how much did you need to cut out of your hood to get that intake to fit, StillSmokin?

I pull in 2.6 with a II SPS 66 Turbo and 6x18 Injectors. I have a hard time keeping on top of the turbo on our track pulling 3rd Low when It hooks up hard. If the track is dry then the truck does real well with a ground speed of 18 mph.

Here is a video of a decent pull in 3rd low on a loose track

I run my truck in the 2.6 class. I run a 215 p pump with 5x16 injectors and also my head is o-ringed with arp 12mm studs and all the goodies in the valve train. It also has nv4500 with 3850 southbend dd. My charger is a s471 w/1.32a/r housing shimmed down for the 2.6 class.

I pull mine in a 2.5 class. Pump is tweaked with pod injectors going into a 62mm htt turbo. I've only gotten 3 hooks on the truck so far but it is getting better every pull. Got 3rd in a brush pull last weekend. Working different suspension ideas.

I'm gona make a guess and say that thing's got a highly moded p-pump with all those RRRRRRRRR's, that thing's wicked.:rockwoot:
