Any problems with 07.5-08' 6.7 mega cabs

Looking at a few mega cabs. Has anyone had any issues with the early 6.7 motors or the auto tranny?
How much is involved putting a 48RE in one?
I want a manual but if a really nice low mile auto comes up i'll settle.
 
I've only had mine since May. It's got 230K on it. It had a cracked exhaust manifold, shelled out back brakes & worn out u-joints but it's all better now. The engine & tranny run like new. No idea what was done to it before I got it.
 
Last wed i purchased my 08, had 53k on it and so far so good. The mpgs suck azz but im workin on rounding up all the deletes, ewg, and smarty jr. Hopefully this will help, i can actually watch the fuel gauge go down as im driving. I also think i experienced my first regen mode last night. The truck started to build boost very easily or sooner than usual as i was on the highway (about 70mph) I also had a bit of turbo surge or bark around the same speed. Hopefully thats what it was. It lasted a while i believe but all normal this morning on the way to work.
