anybody have a silencer alarm on their truck?

anybody?
my truck came with one from the factory and i want to remove it. just curious if anyone has and still retained all normal functions of the truck. mine is integrated into the factory truck harness under the dash. i am beginning to think it is the reason for all of my truck issues.

if anyone has any experience with this type of alarm system or any alarm ssytem for that matter, on the 12v trucks is the alarm system simply to interupt the shutoff solenoid or is it a total ignition system interupt? thanks
