Anyone broke the head where the exh. manifold bolts on?

Ran one good time down the track at the test and tune in Warsaw and found today that the head is broke off and cracked where the exhaust manifold bolts to the head. #1 and #2 top of exhaust port is broke off, #3 and #4 are cracked, #5 and #6 I can see nothing wrong with. Same turbo and manifold as last year. Only change was I did some port matching on the exhaust side and added 13mm pump...?????
 
Thats one of the reasons people go with a 3-piece. After a lot of heat cycles when everything cools the manifold has been known to shrink more than the head and break off the ears. Sounds like you were unlucky enough to have it break the head instead of just crack. Bummer.
 
That's what makes me worry about all these new headers coming out with a continuous flange.
 
If you have a header with a continuous flange, you just have to elongate the bolt holes to allow for expansion and contraction and you'll be ok.
