Been smelling fuel from the truck get to looking and the same damn line I had replaced not 300 miles ago is leaking.

This is the second time the #2 line has broke on my truck. Does Schied even try to make these things last? It was $87 last time.

Am I the only one? This just pisses me off to no end.

The joint between the fitting on the head and the line itself. The other did the exact same thing.

Make sure you have enough of those rubber clamps on the lines. They suggest you use the ones that come with their lines and re-use some of your stock clamps.

Used as many as would fit. Their lines are bent so close that you cant fit half of them on where they need to be.

I havent had mine leak..............yet!

But I did notice that they arent very close to bent right. Takes me about 2 hours just got get them back on every time! About every single one comes in at the wrong angle and almost have to be rebent.

We have had alot of trouble to with my buddies ppump 24v lines. They keep breaking the swedge off at the pump though. He has broke 2 .120 stainless and then went to a set of .093 lines and broke 1 so far but we aslo backed his pump down from 850cc's to around 700cc's and cross our fingers no touble so far. Tim

After about 1.5 years mine started leaking in the same spot as the OP.

Mine also started leaking like that on #2 only on both the injector side and the pump side...turned out it wasn't the line but the nuts...they were splitting. Not sure if thats your problem though or not. I got mine thru Haisleys so Patty shipped a new one out fast for me as I found out about it leaking a few days before the buying for my truck came from out west.

My lines were bought in the spring of 2006 and I am almost 100% positive the nuts were used (core or something) as they were pitted and looked older...the new replacement I got from Haisleys was brand new and machined looking unlike the old one.

Check for cracking there...mine was probably due to taking them on and off so much and over torqueing.

stainless? if so i have heard numerous people say that they have had issues with them cracking. they switched to normal steel lines and have had no issue that i know of, stainless is just too hard and brittle and they crack. was that line a little hard to get the threads started on?

I had both stainless and regular steel. Went thru four different lines till I got tired of loosing so much fuel I just went back to stockers! I had number 6 leak twice at the head, and had number 1 blow up also at the head...

This is not what I want to hear. I'm just getting ready to order a set of these.

Mine are stainless. I talked to Schied, they a making up the line for free this time.

They said "use as many clamps as you can". As I have said, I would if they would ben them to where the clamps would actually fit.

I think Im gonna make the set myself for the next engine.

Mine did this on the #1 line I got from them. Second line I got didn't leak, but was bent poorly, needed a fair amount of rebending. Thats the story with all 6 lines, in fact. Lots of pipe strain, definitely not anywhere close to how the factory ones fit. Mine are the mild steel, stock diameter (.073"?)

i've got 93 steel lines...no leaks so far. Had them about 6months
