Anyone ever strip out sway bar mounting holes?

How in the Sam Hill am I supposed to fix this fu*k up?

There are backin nuts friction welded in the rail....

Since that portion was boxed, I drilled a hole big enough to get a nut, and open end wrench through, and just moved on.....

Not perfect, but, it was what I had to do at the time to move on....

11k later, no issues...

I've driven my 4.5" lifted truck on the street for 5 years with no sway bars and haven't had any issues. Truck actually rides a little better believe it or not and the suspension is stiff enough that the body doesn't lean much at all. Heck, I didn't even notice a difference in sway between having them on or off.
 
this is so stipid it just might work.weld it shut.get a good melt.redrill and tap it.red lock tite.
