That little SOB keeps blowing. It may last 10 minutes or it may last 10 days or four months. Just pops the fuse randomly. It is the fuse for the power outlet in the PDC under the hood. Normally it is a 20 amp. It will blow a 30 amp too. Apparently there is a short somewhere. Just thought I'd ask the question before I started looking for chaffed wires.

It is not a bad ground so that should save the first 12 smart ass responses. Not looking forward to a bunch of funnies today I guess.

Sooo.....Its not bad ground??

When I get to Victoria, BC week after next, I'm throwing a turd south a state to land on you.

I'll know tonight when I dive under the dash. Just lookin' for suggestions if someone has seen this happen repeatedly. Probably a hot and ground metled or rubbed together I would assume. Just don't now where. I guess I'll start at the port and work south.

I'd say its a bad ground inside the power port itself. LoL But seriously after 10 years of you shoving **** up its ass probably something melted inside the port and is grounding out when it gets hot.

I fixed it. I ran my display to the 30 amp fuse I added when I swapped to an electric seat. There. The power port is no longer needed / fixed. :D

Why dont you just drive south then you can throw a turd at me and ill buy you a beer.

If I was going to be a little closer, I'd take you up on that beer.

I've seen quite a few bad sockets, mostly caused by those really nice 3 into 1 adapters that let you overload the living snot out of it. Working in a college town, we see at least 1 a month and usually thy are trying charge their phone, run a laptop, gps, ipod, and beer cooler!
