got a chance toget a used diesel dynamics "sledpuller " cam. tried searching with very few results. cant even find a company website ? maybe im just computer challenged. if anyone knows anything about these cams or company i would appreciate info. the guy said the cam was $1100. new ! thanks.

They were regrinds, they are now out of business. I believe they were the think tank in hard parts, for Edge Products until the MSD group bought Edge.

ok, thanks. dont want a regrind really. must not have been awesome or the guy would still be running it i think.

The DD cams were usually $1500, but Lawrence (the main dude at DD) did his homework on their cams and supposedly they were pretty good. . .involved a lot of dyno time and 20 profile changes before he was satisfied with the end product. This was in the very early 2000s. Compared to what there is now though I doubt it would be a top pick.

Here's an old DD web page from 2002, click on Dodge Cummins http://web.archive.org/web/20020802041205/http://www.dieseldynamics.com/

It was an improvement over the factory cam back in the day. It has slow ramp rates and lobe centerlines that do not resemble today's cams.

interesting, considering a hamilton cam- building a motor for truck in sig. can you p.m. me price ,specs on your cams. i want quik spool-low end. not going to really see much 3000+rpm. will the gear off a non i/c cam work? those camc are different the the stock i/c cams. are the keyed different degrees? thanks.

In theory, that would be easier on the valve train....I'm sure peak performance suffered, but longevity might have been taken into consideration.
