anyone put a 12v in a 04 and up dodge

My uncle has a customer that that melted down his 04.5 cr and wants to put a 12v in it. Has anyone done this on a daily driver? What issues are there with guages or any thing else you can tell me about the swap?

I know Jeff has done at least one. He had a customer that melted 2 motors running waste oil in them. The dealership replaced the first one and the guy brought it to Jeff to build a 12v for it the second time around.

We got the conversion finished today and it went home. Everything in the 05 dash worked and check engine light was the only thing that was on. So we took the bulb out!

sorry new to diesels but i thought all cummins were bullit proof so why would a 04 cr not be as good as a 12v..whats week about them. Thanks

This particular truck had had several injector problems and been fixed several times. It finally melted two pistons and the owner said he wanted a 12v put in it and so we did.
