The title says all. I'm thinking of doing it on my truck, as I definately need more fuel. I'm just wanting to see if anyone does it, and what kind of street manners it has. I'm not REALLY concerned about smoke, as I have gotten pretty good at controling it. Just wondering about smoke at idle, and egt's at cruising speeds.

Thanks

All my mods are in my sig, except a SO pump will be going on soon, along with 1/2" fuel lines (3/8" now) and a draw straw.

I dont know if it would be worth the upgrade if you already have 200 horse injectors. You should get something bigger especially since you have a 66mm turbo.

The reason for the change is that I pulled last night and my smoke was 100% cleared up by 100'

yeah but he needs something that would be good for mixed street and pulling so stick with a 7x12

i had 250s in my truck and they were too smokey for DD. i went to 200s and the difference is night and day when it comes to smoke.

I'd go with a 6 hole injector... 7 holes tend to break tips if the holes are too big. My 7x14's cost me a motor :(

i DD my truck with ddp 250s and not a prob...theres a slight haze a idle, but nothing major.

Not all 7 hole nozzles are the same some are EDM from core some from blanks. When you EDM core nozzles makes them week since they have had so many heat cycles on them already. I would always want to start with a new blank nozzle.

drew i think they would be a great injector for you. Running that 66 they would be a great match up i can drive my comps with no smoke unless i really mash the throttle. Slight haze like mentioned but nothing major.

i dd 250's now drew, not a problem for me at all..... try lookin into a full bodied injector, not just an edm. machs or ddps, or even wicked diesel

Thanks guys. I think I'm gonna do it.

My next question: are there adverse affects of running big sticks in cold winters?

And bbtank, I got to see my old truck the other day. Guess chris got tired of it and sold it? The bad part was, the guy called me right after leaving SDX and he said that the VP crapped on him 10 miles outside terre haute.

I DD/tow with 250s. haze at idle I could live without and oil gets dirty fast but no issues in cold. actually cold is FUN!

just wanted to mention, as you might notice in my avatar, I have a LOT of air.
My twins are a 66/12bb over a 480. I also have a bit of porting and a helix2.

I knew that you had alot of air... Just never knew how much

I know that, guess I should have clarified, but depending on who you get them from, some places just EDM their old cores and resell them... Sure they are the same size, but like you said, the integrity of the tip is slightly reduced. My new 7 holes were made out of my stock tips that I removed right after buying the truck, so they didn't have any heat cycles on them prior, so I'm sure I won't have issue with them.

But I still recommend the 6 holes... lol
