I've use them for years , with The RPM perfromance Data logger, and there is a lot of infomation to be gleened.
it's the best wat to tune a waste gate

It would have been nice to have one wile doing this turbo swap test. It may have helped determine why the 62/71 lost 12hp and 70ftlbs over a 35/40 14

Racepak has one now that reads the wheel not the shaft....I will try one this year.

Thats the way Garretts kit works, just machine the housing and install the pickup .08mm from the wheel. It can also be used with a logger, seems nice.
