Hello, I have an 01, Auto with a HRVP44, BD Super B, Mach 4's, .093 crossover tubes, Colt Stage 2 cam. Truck had a mild lope with the tubes and the cam.

Bought a Smarty and installed it yesterday, tried setting 7 at first. Almost as soon as it was installed the idle got horrible. Lopes like a p-pump truck, horrible lope at idle in gear, it would shake your teeth out. Took the Smarty out and the lope stayed. The HRVP is one month old, fuel pressure is about 20 ( airdog ). I checked all the lines and none appear to be leaking. Tubes had new o-rings when they were installed. If I touch the throttle the lope goes away immediately, just at an idle. Ideas?

No codes.

I knew that, the small lope was always there. It just got ten times worse with the smarty installed. It's more than a lope, almost a miss, sounds like it's missing and going to stall.

Its not its just what they do, mine loped alot more with smarty stacked on the adrenaline as well.

yeah i get some funny looks when i creep thru a parking lot, lope, lope, lope, lope

Scanned it with the Mac scanner. The voltage to the APPS/TPS is showing a steady .45 volts on the ECM side. On the PCM side it varies from .45 to .49 at an idle, while the ECM side stays right at .45. TPS maybe?

Juice plus Smarty on odd settings plus the increased timing from the hrvp equals to much timing.

The juice is actually vack at Edge getting fixed, the boost fooling went toes up last week so I sent it back. Would the Smarty and just the HRVP do too much timing? I took the Smarty back out and the lope stayed.

Ok, I don't know that it is or isn't. Why would it suddenly start the second the smarty was installed? Granted it didn't go away once it was taken back out, but why did it just pop up with the smarty install?
