i was getting ready to flush my transmission. and was wondering what kind of additives or fluids that people are running other that the expensive ATF+4. i know from a builder that you can run dexron/mercon3 as long as you add lube guard that makes it roughly the same stuff but cheaper.
now my brother in law swears by the lucas oil transfix, and how his tranny runs cooler and shifts firmer, hes run it since 20k miles without any real need to. any one have bad experience with lucas ? lastly i did some searching and found a lot about running john deere hyguard or equivalent.
