Atlanta Dragway - July 10th

Wee were there and kept missing signs then it was !0:00 am and i called ISB and he and david are down on the interstate so we went to get them. Talked to them awhile and it was already getting hot so we hit cracker Barrel for Lunch and said lets hit the pool back at the condo, we had a 4 year old that would have been miserable in the heat, I wanted to get there for like 9:00 but i couldnt get them up.

I did get to meet ISB on the interstate but he was trying to grope all over my girl friend when he met her, just like i knew he would. That Big Swole cant even get his truck to an event!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What happened to the truck Swole. Aron told me about it when you called him. Man that sucks a**. We were gonna come load it on the trailer and haul it for you but he said you got a wrecker. Hope its nothing serious.

Thanks man. I did appreciate the off for the tow, but I needed to get it to Jeff's asap so I can pull the injectors on Wed. I won't be availible until then.

We think it blew a inj. tip off and just poured fuel into a cylinder. I was cruising down the hwy bout 75-80, talking on the phone and all the sudden there a Loud rattle started coming from the rear of the engine ( behind my radio/ac contols and floor) and then a HUGE plume of white smoke covered the hwy behind me!

I through it up in Neutral, costed to the side break down lane and shut it off. It was still running just before shut off but was kinda rough. I cant remember if that rattle was still there. I was too beside myself that this was happening to me again! Only made it just over a thousand miles this time. lol
 
Had a lot of fun out there yesterday! Great event and I can see a big future for this event if the NHRDA keeps it going. Maybe next time I won't wait until elimination to have a $hitty launch

I sure hope the turnout was good enough to convince NHRDA to come back to Commerce! I had a frakin' BLAST!! Got to meet several folks that I had never met before! Hope to meet more of you.

The word I heard was NHRDA was pleased with the event and was planning to bring it back next year. Events like this start small and grow.
