Automatic swap

So i'm trading my manual tranny for a 47re auto out of a 96. Is there any tips you guys know of to make the swap go smooth? Also how are you guys hooking up your shifters if you don't swap the columns, is there a floor shifter kit I can buy to hook this up. Any pics you guys have would be sweet.

I'm just finishing mine. Used a B&M ratchet for a shifter. Have'nt got the stand built yet. So I don't know how she runs. All the little parts add up. Don't forget to remove the starter spacer from the DD. That one got me...

Good call on the spacer I almost forgot it was in there. Did you just buy the same ratchet shifter that is in all the parts stores or is there a different one for our trucks? Any pics on the stand your building just looking for some suggestions before I get started.
