Axle spline count

Is there a way to tell if you have 35 or 37 spline axle with out pulling and counting them?

98.5 Dana 60 and 80
2500 nv4500 3.54's

It should be 30spline d60 and 35spline d80 if they are stock.

yeah didn't the dodge D80 come with 35 spline and the ford D80 axles have the 37 spline count?? My 01 is 35 spline

Only the higher GVW Ford Dana 80's got 37 splines.

F450 trucks got them. 99-04 equipped with Dana 80s, but you can find them F-350 cab chassis. Early 90's F-350 DRW pick ups also could have them.
