Bad APS or VP

I need help finding out if my problem is a bad aps or vp. While on my way home from camping pulling a little hill more like a overpass it started bucking a little the rpm was around 2000 in 5th geer egt about 975. fuel pres was 19lb i have a va, and an xzt, When i turned off the xzt the bucking stopped, acording to Quads techs its my aps or pump. So how do i start checking. this is the 2nd time its done this.

cycle the key on off 3 times and the CEL codes will read out on the Odometer if you get code 0216 then its the VP.

It set no codes, i checked the wire tap seems fine has olny done this while pulling hard.

Reset the APPS and see what happens. If that won't do it you might get someone with a good scan tool to look at the actual output of the APPS and see if it has a dead spot in it.
