Bad fuel ?

Had 1/2 tank.Filled it up 3 minute's later it starts missing and smoking.I drained out of my sump water and crud.Put new filters on and it still runs bad.Could it hurt my injectors?It sounds like it is running on 4.And it sounds like a valve seat droped.Just going 45 when it started in 4th.Any help?

are you positive you have good fuel pressure. Sounds like you have no fuel pressure. The truck will run without the lift pump pushing fuel cause the vp will still pull enough fuel to run but pops and cuts out. But I see you have a fass i would verify that its working properly.

Get you some Racor Biocide and dump it in the tank. Sounds like you got the bottom of a tank and probibally have algae or something similar in the tank. Keep a set of filters with you also because if you do have something growing in there it will die quickly and plug the filters.

20 lbs at the gauge.The location is just before ip.New replacement fass150,just the pump.

sounds like bad injector to me, crack each fuel line one at a time with engine running if you get to one that dosent cut the engine out that injector is bad

Damn that fuel. Yeah water does bad things to nozzles. The air dog does a good job catching water and crap, but nothing is 100%.
I'd drain the system. Have you contacted the fuel station?

Yes i went back.We pulled 6 gal out the same pump and did a test nothing.The last 3 fill ups flyin j.I am at a new low.I just got finished building this truck the way i always wanted to.

I removed the tank to have a look see.I had some old junk injectors put them in.It started real hard.Harder than normal but the old injectors are almost spent.Warmed it up and it only had one bad cylinder miss.Went and put diesel 911 in the filters and tank and it runs good now.I just wish i would of sent the old injectors out to be freshened up.Hope they last until the 7x12's get fixed.With all the funky sounds that were going on i would have bet some hard parts were trashed.
