National Television Coverage at the Bluegrass Nationals in Danville, Kentucky
The Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series (BOB Series) heads to Danville, Ky. on June 18-19, in Danville, Kentucky. This event will receive national television coverage on June 19 on the Outdoor Channel. “For the first time in the history of pulling, a regional series will receive national event television coverage.”, said BOB Series CEO, Tom McConnell. “Danville, Kentucky has a long history of great pulling and we will show 30 million people how great Danville is.”, commented McConnell.
This is not the first time that the event in Danville has received national television coverage. In 2000, under the sanction of ATPA, Danville received television coverage on the Speedvision Network. “We are glad to see that our event is being covered again.” Said Danville-Boyle County Fair President Ryan Owens. “We received a lot of exposure from the Speedvision Network and are sure to receive good feedback from the Outdoor Channel.”, commented Owens.
The 2nd Annual Bluegrass Nationals will kick off on June 18, 2009 at 7pm. Classes on Thursday include the Light Limited Super Stock Tractors, Super Farm Tractors, Work Stock Diesel Trucks, Heavy Hot Farm Tractors and Light Hot Farm Tractors.
On June 19th, the night of television coverage, classes to include the Light Limited Super Stock Tractors, Pro Farm Tractors, Pro Street Diesel Truck (2.6), Pro Stock 4WD Trucks and Outlaw Diesel Truck(2.8).
