I installed my BD speed eliminator "RAD" box tonight and it eliminates all torque from the engine, not just the management part. I hooked everything up per instructions and the speedo still works, the check engine light is on, and the engine has no power. The instruction say if the engine will not "rev" to switch the orange wires( I assume this means white with orange tracer). I did so and now it will kill the speedo while on, turn the light on and cause no power, but off the speedo stays at 40-45mph constantly. I remove the wiring and re-connect the white/black, and white/orange wires and it runs great again. Anyone had similar problems or am I a retard?:bang

IIRC, it's a three position switch... I can't remember which one does what, but as soon as Lavon sees this he'll remind me. What does it do in each of the colors?

Red:
Orange:

Mine is on/off also, I'm assuming the RAD breaks the CAN Bus line and alters the speed sensor signal . I understand how this will "fool" the torque management in the computer, but I don't understand how it can make the engine barely run??? Even with out a speed signal the engine should run, the trans may act queer, and breaking the communication link shouldn't effect the engine or fueling negatively right? I either hooked something up like a retard or the box is defective.

Mine doesn't effect the engine at all. Flip the switch and the tach dies and the truck barks the hell out of the tires going in to 2nd.

My speed reading on the the pulse monitor goes to 54mph when I flip the RAD on. Mine takes a few seconds then the idle drops 50 rpm for some reason??

I don't have a RAD but when my truck does a no bus signal and the gauges don't work, it drops 50 rpm as well. I flash the high beams and it comes back for a bit. That's how I know. Also I'm reading the juice to get rpm. Maybe something weird with the gauges.

I just don't understand how, even if it's wired wrong, and i'm sure it ain't, the engine will barely get out of its own way. I have the blue and yellow wires hooked to the white/orange wires and the purple and tan hooked to the white/black wires. Power, ground and the grey switch wire and it's done. Guess I'll have to call BD on Monday. Thanks:bang

it may be something wrong with your box put one on my truck rpm tach dies, speedo still works oh and it will make the tires spin like hell, it should only have a 2 position swicth on and off. Mine is white while off red when on
