BD Special - 64/71-14 - turbo is in absolutely perfect shape! around 10k miles on it. Was pulled to install an A5k
as you know, BD turbos are the same on the compressor side for 2nd and 3rd gen. I have the 90* discharge elbow for use on a 3rd gen. The turbo originally came from BD as a 3rd gen setup and has the 3rd gen exhaust housing and wastegate actuator on it from BD.
now... I also have an II sps62 - 62/71-14 - turbo has some miles on it! I'm guessing over 60k or so? I've set this turbo up with a drive pressure gauge on every truck I've had it on. The shaft play and bearings are in PERFECT shape, and I have always run Rotella Synthetic oil. I've had this turbo on 3 trucks. It's in perfect shape.
It is a 2nd gen turbine housing that has been ported in the inlet and in the wastegate area and has the plate spacer that II puts on their larger S300 turbos. Obviously has the 2nd gen actuator on it too.
both of these turbos use the same center section and turbine wheel, so I can swap housings if you desire a 3rd gen sps62 or a 2nd gen BD Special.
asking $1100 for either turbo in either 2nd or 3rd gen configuration.
yes, I realize the sps62 has higher miles, but I've owned the turbo since brand new, I've had it on three trucks, it's in perfect shape, and I'm not going to just give it away.
