I am just getting started in the diesel addiction! I have some qestions about a few mods that I plan on doing to my truck. First off i have a 99 qcsb 5 spd with Icebox intake,5" exhaust,edge ez, and a jacobs brake. I can get a bd twins setup and clutch from a local guy here who bought everything new and then got his truck stolen before he could install it for $2300. The twins are s300/s400 combo, I am looking to set this all up to be a bad ass tow rig. I was told By bd that I will need a bigger chip and injectors to run the twins properly. So I am looking for some advice on what programmer and injectors would be a good set up I don't plan on racing or pulling with this I want great towing and street manners. Also would a lift pump upgrade be needed i have the intank pump in it? Any advice would be great and also would there be any other parts needed for this to work properly?
Thanks in advance:charger::charger:

great deal on the twins and a clutch. is it a dual disk? i ran that twin set up for a long time on my work truck and loved it, super fast spool up. ditch the EZ and get a edge comp box forsure. get a fass or an air dog forsure. as far as injectors Cummins Performance Parts (SAC 7 hole id do either 150 or 200hp) by far the best injectors for a vp truck i have ever tryed, blew the ddp injectors i have tryed out of the water. call them up and talk to jaime he take very good care of you

It is the center force dual friction clutch?

i dual friction is the same as dual disk and im guessing it is then a great deal buy it up. even if its a single disk still a good deal.

Oh I also have a ho pump in it. It only has 8k miles on it. I have been told that the ho pump won't push the fuel a so will. Will the ho be a problem?

depends on what kinda power you want to make.. if ya wanna make over 450-500 ya id get a diffenet pump.. try your ho out first and see how you like it after your get yoru turbos and injects in..

Hey k farms thanks for all the helpful info I am going to weigh my options out and go from there who knows the twins my be up for sale soon. It is looking like it could be in-between $5k to $6k to do the swap the way it should be done.

My HO pump got me to 571hp and then I swapped on a SO that made 591hp. The HO fuels harder off the bottom than the SO but it should be fine for a while.

Centerforce dual friction is not a dual disk. Still a good deal on the twins, but I would look into a different clutch. Valair or Southbend would be a much better option then that Centerforce. Whether or not you need a dual disk depends on what your overall power goals are, but I would recommend it, wish I had put one in mine last time I had it apart.

I would stick with the HO pump, it doesn't sound like you are looking for all out big dyno numbers anyway, so the HO will serve you just fine. If that pump goes up, that would be the time to consider swapping in a SO pump.
