i am wanting to get in the 2.6 class here where i'm from and i was wondering what would be the best 2.6 charger there is to make the most power. There are no bushings allowed. I didnt know if there are any better options than just the off the shelf stuff? thanks.

I think there are better options, but your gonna have some compromises. The 66mm on the shelf are very good compromise chargers. I mean they are still streetable, put down good hp and are reliable. I am sure if you get something to perform better on the track your gonna give up some stuff on the street.

I would say the Pro Street 66, with a 16cm stainless housing.

I would say it is up there, but dynos have shown the silverbullet to put down more HP. I think primarily the larger turbine wheel and the smaller housing drives the compressor harder. Now the prostreet 66 with the 16 is still a sweet charger. The stainless housing will take the heat better than the castiron housing on the bullet.

What kind of drive pressures are people seeing on the Dodges with a charger like this? Just curious.

I am just a little worried that it wont be able cool what i need it to down the road if i do some upgrades. There is a guy in the class now that has a silver 66 running twin cp3's, flux 3.5's, a triple stack, and studs and springs and during a full pull his egts are freaking rediculous. thats what i am wanting to find out if there is any thing thats still a 66 that will flow a little better than the off the shelf stuff

You talking about the Black Dually? If I remember I don't think it got that hot. I thought he said like 1400 maybe. That isn't hot... at least not for only about 20 seconds at a time.

I never stuck a drive pressure gage on it. If I recall I think it is one to one to around 55 or so.

I had one a sledpuller 68 and I don't think it was accurate as the digital gage was recording spikes of 70+ and I was only seeing about 50 or so on the compressor side.

More boost by 10# or more to 45# then it will equal out. It never goes negative.

LOL I don't know. No joke! Called II, told them what we were looking for and they built it. The inducer is 2.8 and the exhaust is 3.0 at the wheel. :hehe:

It would be hard to keep a 66 cool with the amount of fuel you described. I am guessing he has flux 3.5's Smarty,TST,Mp-8 stack and I bet his egts are higher then 1400 going down the track. Heck on the street with the ez on level 1 and BD on crazzy larry I can see 1300. I like my SPS66 personally but I wouldn't say it's the best. A few ppl have done pretty good with them.
