best head for pulling

For a 2001 automatic cummins. I was wondering where I could find a head that is good for pulling. I want the whole nine yards.
 
haisley machine, scheid diesel, eep, ray mac racing or woodruff diesel should be able to help you.but you better have deeeeeeep pockets.
 
I think boost would be your concern for blowing the head gasket. Stock setup could be around 50 psi.
 
If you want the whole nine yards and your from Missouri I would give Hart's Diesel a call. What are you wanting to do? Like 3.0 truck or just something to go around and hit a few pulls around here with?
 
I am in Missouri. I'm wanting to to pull the 2.6 show-mesmokers. I probably won't compete with most right now, but its fun and love pulling. I should be competive in a couple of years hopefully.
 
Well me and my brother are both show me smokers! What are you wanting to do to your truck? And how much are you willing to spend?
 
Well head studs, port and polish,and valve springs. I also am going to get htt turbo, monster pump, and injectors, but most will come in years to come.
 
Unless the head needs rebuilt, I would start with the bolt on stuff, before porting and polishing the head.
 
If you got the head off it isn't a bad idea to port and polish but in the 2.6 class it really isn't all necessary.
