Best way to cleanup valves.

Didnt know if a guy could get away with using a wire wheel as long as I dont get into the valve seat?
 
Valve mounted into a drill and some scottbright pad works well for me. I do it in the solvent tank.
 
stiff wire wheel works just fine. it wont hurt the valves or seats at all. that what we use on our diesel and methanol motor valves. steel, inconel, titanium all works fine on
 
Is muratic acid ok to use?

It took the aluminum chucks that I had stuck to my valves off, but I didn't even think of it hurting the metal composition.

Hydrochloric acid eats 'em both, B.

It will eat Al faster than Fe, so you have a kinetics study in yer hands.
 
So I have to just tell it not to eat the valve and to eat the aluminum instead. Got it. ;)
