best way to prime fuel system

new motor going in this weekend and was woundering the best way to prime the fuel system from cp3's to injectors , was woundering id I could turn the top cp3 buy hand with the lines cracked ,would that work and if so witch way left to right or right to left thanks.
 
It'll take care of itself...just crank it till it starts.


Oh yea...don't ever crack a line on a common rail. Fuel at that pressure can take an eyeball right outta your head.
 
I was just woundering because I now now long it takes to fire up with a empty rail and lines, cause its a new motor just being over carefull , but if cranking tell it starts is the way so be it. thanks
 
Just bump the starter a few times to let the fuel system get fuel all the way up to the CP3, then, just crank on it...

Yup. Plus, cranking a new motor with the lines dry helps get everything lubed up before she really fires off....

Crack the feed line on top of the cp3 and bump the starter to get the lift pump to keep running. When you see fuel coming out, tighten it back up and crank till she fires.
 
sounds good guys I'll put up pics of all my stuff when she's up and running and let you guys how she goes. thanks shane
