Any ideas on the best way to repair a broken cast ear. After r/r the cfm intake grid bolts over the years, one of the cast ears inside the manifold broke on one side. I removed the piece, so thats not the issue.

Make a custom adapter that moves the bolt spacing out, then drill and tap the head/intake for the new bolt spacing.

I've replaced a motor that ate one of those ears! Does a hell of a job on the valves and piston! you can have a metal piece welded in and then drilled and tapped. or just sell it to someone wanting to cut the intake off!

Any reason you can't just tap that part for a bigger bolt? May require drilling out the intake horn a bit.

Don't do this.
