Heres some mods I'm a few years late on for the stock charger on the LB7. The first tests have been a big success (quicker spool up and better response evey where). We don't know yet how many extra HP it's supplying. I just got the preliminary reports. We already know the CP3 moded regs and suction pump I started doing back in 05 did well on stockers and moded trucks. This will help the stock charger on the LB7 get a little stronger (much better when all are done for a stock appearing truck thats much stronger than stock). I'm doing a jig for them and will do an exchange core on them (if usable). Any interested?

Those look to be some worthwhile improvements.

Speaking of better breathing for the IHI...here's what a guy once wrote me. I never checked into it but have been wondering how possible or feasible this might be.

I have a friend who will put a super 40 wheel on your stock turbo. Then it'll wake the bottom end up a lil and sound good too!! We tried this on an 02 and the guy is wild about it. Sez much better low end power and nice sound. Otherwise stock motor. This may not work for you but it did for us.

I was told the Super 40 wheel is intended for an HX40 Holset for Dodge applications.

Any thoughts anyone? (Not trying to hi-jack the mods being discussed)

I did this along time ago!! SOTP testing it felt better.. Id like to see if it gives it any hp on a dyno.

Got mine on.
More turbo whistle, Boost seems to come-up quicker, Truck feels a lot smoother.
Thanks SD!

For those with an EGR equipped truck...this is do-able (in your driveway) but it takes a little more effort (More stuff in the way) than the none EGR equipped trucks.

i thought i would chime in and tell everyone I have installed Superdiesels intake horn and you WONT be disappointed :)
