what type of ex flange is this and what does everyone do with the center section? it appears to be water cooled. can you just leave those ports open to atmosphere if you are not trying to drive cross country or does it have to plumbed into the cooling system?

how big of a drain line do these need?

Nice HX82, you dont have to plug them at all. 5/8 - 3/4 oil return is fine. That is a Monarc (sp) used by cummins.

is that a 32 or 36 housing.

its a 28

is that 'small' for a primary?

or at what hp level would it be considered small

the comp wheel is 90.5 x 140

have not measured the ex yet

dont plug em dont plumb em into the cooling system? (the water cooled part)

and whats the flange shape called?

do you know?

thanks

You don't have to do anything with the ports for water cooling enless you want to. I just leave them open.

being that size on the comp 3.6 I would just run it as single that's small, Could be a HC5A couldnt tell ya with out seeing the comp cover.

On the street? :hehe::hehe::hehe:

same charger I have in the closet....still trying to find a exhaust flange to make a down pipe. Where would you get the flange for the exhaust? its like 7"

The V-band you can get from cummins, cant remember the part #. I have machined a couple flanges with a nice taper down 6". I will dig around and see if I still have some.

You can get the exaust outlet flange for the 28 cm housing and v-band from dynaflex. Flange is $6 bucks and v-band is about $20.
Dynaflex part number: V-band: 40-600S, Flange: 42P-600

Too expensinve through cummins.

yea, it looks stock to me, including a press in cone that looks like it works sorta like a drilled race cover

what do they do to em???

Ours is going to stay six inch all the way but it is being run as a single and the only way to make the bend of 180 * for a hood stack is we had to gut the interior because the pipe has no way of making the bend with the location of it on the manifold, it has to go into cab in in order to make the 180 w/o being to sharp. Five inch is still a huge pipe so if you wanted to downsize im sure it would be fine.
