I should have asked this before I placed the order

but.......I ordered the 1/2" big line kit from Vulcan Performance. As of right now I don't have a Raptor pump although it is in the near future as soon as I get the money. Are there any bad effects from running the bigger line? Will too much fuel be drained from the filter I guess is my question or does it not matter?

Ive got one on my truck but cant really say i gained anything from it. I would worry about lift pump before i even thought about big line kit. Do you have anything on your truck now?

its not so much gaining the hose size, the flipside is its far more important to loose the banjo bolts/.

My truck has the in tank pump that was installed by the dealership prior to me buying the truck but with two weeks I'll be ordering the Raptor. My main reason for ordering it was a slight increase in fuel pressure and because it has the port for my Isspro fuel pressure gauge on it.

Go get you a holley blue and put it on the frame rail.

I like the Raptor because I don't have to worry about the return line. I guess I don't know alot about the Holley pump. Why is it better? Is it better?

I read some reports where a pound or two of pressure was picked up from the big line kit alone. You are saying it's not from the line change itself but from the change in fittings?

waldershrek,

With regards to the big line kit, I think that the benefit is more fuel available for the IP. The banjo bolts and the fittings from the fuel canister remain the same size. I think that is what is meant by the post from 1-5-3-6-2-4...at least that is what I understood from it. I have a big line kit and and AD 150. I did not see a difference in fuel pressure on the edge J w/attitude monitor when I had the AD running straight to my IP vs. running it to my fuel canister then to the IP via big line kit. I just did this because I wanted to have my water in fuel light back and the fuel heater. I think most just run the AD 150 to their IP. hope this helps.

I understand that's the goal. I thought he was implying it was from different fittings, not from the bigger line diameter.

I'm definitely going to run whichever pump I end up getting to the filter. I can't imagine running no filter.

Don't waste your time with the holley blue it will not last long just get the raptor asap.

i just put a raptor 150 on and i love it. It does a really good job. I talked with alot of people before i ordered it and all of them told me that the big line kit from the fuel filter to the IP is a gimick...but i guess it does get rid of banjo bolts, so thats a plus
