big stick bolt on cam gear?

Do I have to buy a special gear for it, or do I use my stock gear with some type of bolt on retainer to keep the gear on the shaft?

I am going to pick up a new cam from another member here but he says it doesn't come with the gear. Just looking for some clarification.

No you use the stock gear there are two types of cams press on and bolt on. The bolt on still gets pressed on to the stock gear but also has a bolt to hold it on.
