Black Tube?

There is a black tube under the turbo on my 12 valve does any one know what this is or what it does :bang I am scratching my head about this one my other motor doesn't have this

Its about 2ft long and 6 in round and two 1/2 in fittings on it

Any help would be appreciated

its for an auto tranny

It is a transmission heat exchanger, your engine is out of an automatic.

I dont like the idea of my tranny fluid going through a heater then through a cooler. Mine is coming off when the engine gets transplanted in my other truck.
