just blew my turbo in half last night. i got another stocker to go back on it for now since its my dd. Lookin to get a performance one. Dont know much about turbo chargers and exactly wat size would be a decent spool up(no higher than 1800rpm) but would flow some air. im runin everything in my sig. plus some other tuning. i dont haul anything its just a dd play toy really. any input would be greatly apprieciated.

ps. got some pretty good pics of the damage but wont have time to post them up till tomorrow after i clean out the intercooler and oil pan

Looking into getting a phat shaft 62 or 64 from II but if i get the 64 wat will it spool at wit a 14cm housing on it or would i need a 12cm housing.

Ah a 66mm would be a little laggy on the street. My buddy has one on his 01 and it dosnt really light till 2k. If you dont want to buy new, holler at Kino Fab, (Justin) He wants to sell his II silver 62. Would have to fab up intercooler piping but itss not that bad. Ask Cummins Driver (Eric) I believe he has done this on his 12v.

My 62/71 hits hard around 1700-1800 rpm. I have a 66mm on my 24v, it doesn't come in till 2000 rpm. I wouldn't expect any better on a 12v.

The 66 has a 0.8 A/R housing, I suspect the 62 is the same. Never looked at the number inside the housing when I swapped the turbo last winter.

i see a contradiction in your signature... One, that you get 25 mpg city and the other is your mods(150hp injectors, full cut dvs, timed at 20*, no fuel plate, afc gutted, rack plug). So which is the truth, because you could possibly have one or the other, but not both... I would put your plate back in, I like a 0 and go with a 62mm s300... any larger and it won't spool as fast as you want.
