Is there a way to test the bolck heaters in these truck to see if they are good. Mine doesnt seem like its working. May just be the cord, but wondering if some sort of test will tell me for sure.

Use a digital multimeter. Check resistance between both prongs on the plug hanging out of the truck. It should be around 20 ohms or something. If I remember correctly, it should pull around 6 amps at 120V which is around 720 watts, which should equate to around 20 ohms or something. I tested it a while back but don't remember the exact numbers.

Put it this way, if you check resistance, and it measures open (no resistance, meter usually says "OL") it is dead. Either a burned heater or an open wire. If it measures any resistance at all less than 100 ohms, you are probably ok. Measure it and see what it says.

:D

It should spark or pop when you plug it in too. No sparky..no heaty.

Un plug the cord from the heater and check both resistance of heater and continuety (sp) of the cord.
