Just got another truck with decent miles by no means wore out but its puffing a little bit. If you pull the cap off it won't blow it off but its a haze. I haven't had it long. The dip stick has been messed with so hard to tell how low it is but it doesn't roll out from underneath the truck but at the right angle you can see a haze a noticable haze. Oil stinks too! I know they will have some but what are some of yalls opinion.

blow-by comes from compression going past the piston rings, so...starting to wear itsself out

Well I know its gonna have some but to what point is too much. Its got about the same as my other truck with 270k

change the oil and filters and check if your making oil, you will be surprised how long they will go without a refresh.$.02

Make sure you don't have any loose/disconnected vacuum lines.

I have owned two 12v and four 24v rigs, the 24- valves seem to emit more blowby vapor, even though their oil consumption was much lower than my two 12-valves.

Its mostly a vapor. The tube is run down by the tie rod and that side of the truck is fairly clean. So its not like its just puking. My other truck has the whole front end covered but @ 10k miles on oil change its not quite half quart low. I'm gonna change oil in this one and run valves on it and keep an eye on it and see.
