so how do i keep from blowing the tires off of line with my auto these soft tracks here in iowa r unforgiveing i need to get this ironed out before next year :nail:

yea lol but its a big single truck and it takes so much heat to even get it to lite so what i guess iam wondering is how these 2.8 3.0 boys r doing it

run 33'' bfg at 1/2 tread runing single wheel thought about duels but would like the truck to hook up a little bit witha single maybe thats wrong and i should just go stright to duels

I run the same no problems but I pull a manual and twin maybe some one else can enlighten up on ur problem

What kind of HP you running? Also what kind of turbo? I don't know much about autos but some people that would are guys like rawdiesel "wesley wade" zstroken, or 07dodge, or blowinsmoke those guys have some good running autos.

soft track requires more than a 50% tread AT tire...

A brand new BFG A/T seems to hook well at most tracks, however when mine got to 50% they weren't any good at all. Swapped to STS's and it's a whole different ballgame.

What rpm are you leaving at, change the truck setup, you can get them to hook. I do agree the 50% bfg need to go.

yea i know them tires need to good but should i stick with the 33 or try 315s iam still runing 373 gears but hp iam not real sure never had it on a dyno id say 800 to 900 but thats just what the guys who built the motor thought the charger is s476 but zstroke if i pm u i could talk to more about your rachet shifter and maybe what iam doing wrong or right off the line

I would go with some 35" STS's. They seem to hook up better on the looser/sandier tracks

well, up here in alberta we got some loose nasty tracks, and an old mini puller very wise guy lol, told me to air down my toyos to 15 psi in all four, picked up quite a bit of footage, compared to havin them aired up, give it a shot

All the tracks i was on this year in iowa my procomp xtreme mt worked great. Around here we dont have any tacky tracks. Most are kinda loose on top and hard underneath. Great for gettin of the line and lots of traction goin down the track and some good ground speed also. All the gas guys run sts and next year im either gonna run toyo mts or sts.

what air pressure are you running? New bfg do good, what rpm's or boost you coming out at. Mines a auto and i come out at about 20-25 lbs of boost i kept blowning the kumho road venture at off tell i started airing them way down. Then i switched to Swamper truxs MT and only pulled once and it was a hard track and came out like always and blowed them off, air pressure plus when you lock up converter has alot to do with blowning tires off.

you may try a mud terrain and let some air out of the tires and see of that helps. i dont know a lot but it seemed to help me some this year

I would say run a mt and run 38-40psi rear and 20-22 psi front and hang some weight out front. Most of the tracks in southern half of the state are like that one and mts work very well. The only ones that are tacky are ones the hot farm and limited pro tractors run at but they make the first part of the track easy to get spinning and then tacky the rest.

Drop the fronts to 15-16PSI$.02
