blown headgasket

would a blown head gasket be able to pressurize the coolant system enough to ruin the heater core? just changed the heater core a little over a year ago, wouldnt of thought that it would already need changed. also noticed coolant coming out around the pipe that leaves the head and goes to the core, as well as coolant coming out of the thermostat area where it meets the head. no oil in coolant or vise versa. leaking lots of coolant in cab. thanks

Could if the cap doesn't blow off like its suppose to. They aren't rated for high pressure
