Ok got one good opinion already tonight and would like more.

Got the twins on my truck (62/475 flux 4.5"s) took it out for a test drive saturday afternoon and had some trouble got it taken care of felt like a donkeys behind. Went back out came back had cel's cleaned and then found oil leaks. During that test drive I was astounded by my previous fix that I pegged the boost gauge at 60 psi and then let off really quick when it felt like something made a thud or bang sound. Fast forward to today fixed the oil leaks took it back out had some poping issues but engine wasn't warm yet. Took it back out a little later after some more checks and it started at cloxse to 60 psi and now is down to 50 I hear a flutter and its enough for me to get out of the throttle. I still haven't ran it hard and Smarty is on sw1 rail 1, tq 1, timing 2, waste gate off, shift defuel on. Need to tune the turbos in still I know.

I have no added oil or milky oil, coolant doesn't seem to vary much in level, temp goes up to 205* now then cools back down to normal level for the truck. Does spool a little slower than the first two trips out.

if any one needs any info other than this let me know. I do have regular ARP studs but head has never been off and never over 55psi till now.

Thanks in advance for any info or thoughts.

the flutter could be that the coolant is being pressurized by a blown headgasket that when you get in to the boost it slams pressure under the radiator cap. I've blown my headgasket 3-4 times and that what it did everytime to me..........

is ur head o - ringed or just studed
Head has never been off so no no O' ring

I did open the cap once tonight and it kind of spit some luke warm fluid out. I then wiped off most of the coolant that had came out then and checked it per my prior advise of the same thing and no new coolant had blown out due to cap lifting unless it was from over flow tank or bypassing cap to tank.

Have checked for boost leaks and didn't find any also but not to say with more psi it wouldn't leak.

Mine was fluttering really bad the last time I blew an MLS gasket. It blew at the narrow part of the gasket between 5&6, no water in oil nor oil in water. I shut off each injector individually to try and narrow down the problem, 5 and 6 didn't really change the idle much at all. Stuck a new injector in number 5 to see if it might be the injectors in 5 and 6, no change. Tried it in 6, same thing. The MLS gasket was toast, not because of boost pressure, but heat.

Doug sounds the same as my truck when blew head gasket and mine was pushing coolant out the overflow tank if i really got after it. I put new gaket in it and put head studs back in let truck warm up to running temps drove it let it cool overnite and went back over head studs hadnt had a problem since.

Chris your just lucky you know. Guess you know whats happening here.

You know it could have the lack of responses for the same reason as the lt one to.

Id blow the front of the gasket everytime when I had the standard arp with my set up. once I put the 625's It hasn't blown A gasket just the motor lol

Well when put that way I would rather have the gasket go but I am not aat your level either

The 625's may as well be on my list now to.

If you didn't have that pressure before this instant I'd say it's definitely the gasket. Mine is a 12v but I had pressure showing up and it was because I nuked two of the small pinhole passages. No mixing or loosing coolant just that pressure would show up that I never had before. Good luck!
