blown turbo

so today i blew my turbo broke the shaft right at the wheel i think the exhaust side went to theres a dent where my cross bolts are there was gray dust on the exhaust side of the intercooler and a few turbo particles checked the other side and it was clean so here the ? should i pull the head and make sure nothing went though and into the motor or should just flush the intercooler out and put it back togauther

Clean the intercooler,shop vac the intake Plenum,and Boroscope each cylinder.

ic well talked to a few tractor pullers that i run around with and they said to clean the intercooler out shop vac the intake plug the oil lines leave the new turbo off and start it and let it run for a bit shut it off change the oil and put it back togauther and shell be good to go does that sound wrong tell me they said thats what they do on there tractors
