Body mounts

Let's say I wanted to make my truck an extended cab shortbed...what are the differences in the body and bed mounts on the reg cab long bed chassis and the club cab short bed chassis?

I've toyed with this idea and also shortening the frame to except a short bed. I just can't decide if I want to save the weight and keep the reg cab or go for room and comfort and use a club cab. The main thing I want is a streetable racer.

thats a no brainer - if you want to go fast alter the wheelbase and make it short bed

i have wanted one like that for some time

just sold my first gen to a guy that may end up doing that to it

he already put a p-pump motor in it

I say keep it a regular cab and make it a short bed.

The wheel base is 4" longer on a ext cab swb than a reg cab lwb. It would probably be easier to buy a ext cab swb and swap the 12v in.

Not anywhere near easy to make it a x-cab. Even if it would fit.
