From 0-45psi the gauge is perfectly steady. Once it goes over or around 50psi it starts shaking +/- 5psi. My waste gate is not hooked up but im wondering if i have some other issue.
Mine does it too, I believe that is the shock to the system of your valve opening, dropping pressure and it closing creating a hammer effect similar to water in a plumbing system...
Only solution I could think of..
If you done the afc mods right n changed the warshers and ground the afc foot then putting the mack plug in should give you more fuel which tuned right would mean more boost and I agree with the valves opening/closing causing boost guage to flutter at wot.
Yes I know and the mods are done. The problem is if I have someone hold the throttle wide open and then I push the release on the TV cable the throttle goes down ~1/2in more and pulls the TV cable shorter. Problem is the thing seems to be a total slush box if I dont leave the tv cable tight, I dono if its the race VB or what. So it seems i dont have full throttle there for it is not letting the rack travel into the plug. Like I said it did not gain 1lb of boost after I put the rack plug in. Pulled a bit over 50lbs as if I didnt install the plug.
Waste gate might be blowing open, makes sense if your boost is stopping there. My soon to be gone stock turbo does the same thing as soon as the waste gate opens.
Yea I was watching old videos of when I had the stock turbo and it started at like 35psi on the video. Ill try to wire the gate shut or something. I dont want to weld it cause i will need it when the twins go in.
