Been chasing a boost leak and finally press. tested and found a hole in i/c. When i plugged hole in i/c w/ finger air was blowing out of blowby tube, are my rings shot? Do i have a f'd up piston, Truck runs good, what do u guys think?
Thanks Zack!

even if the motor was stone cold if your rings wont hold 25 pounds i would say you kilt it

i would warm it up and try again

or maybe invest in a leak down tester so you can do one hole at a time

odds are after warming it up what ever intake valve was open before...its not gonna be open again

know what i mean?

leak down is the only sure way to know what condition its in

Thats what i was thinkin, its stone cold and when air was comin out of blo by i got a bad feeling in my stomach!I'll try the leak down tester but truck still runs better than any one elses i know, buy far.I drive it everyday and haul w/it for my business. If motor is dead and still runs this good cant wait to get it fixed!!!!(accept for the cost)

there is nothing to worry about it is commin out the blow by tube cause there is no where for the air to go if its got a intake valve open air goes in exhaust valves are not gonna be open at the same time as intake valves u have a ring gap and the blow by tube is the path of least resistance how much boost do u push

All i have is a 60lb guage and can peg it pretty qiuck! Also inj. are 4.6 flux if that makes a dif.

did this last night bout 86psi 1month old and i was rollin to
