Boss wants a programer for 2012 help

So my boss has a 2012 4x4 auto. It is a company truck so all he wants to do is a programmer. My question is just putting on a programmer will it improve fuel economy? What programer are you running? Id like to hear real life info as far as improvements. Thanks

i wouldnt tune it unless he wants to ditch the dpf also

Mp8 would help out if its just a company truck. I wouldn't tune it unless its Dpf deleted with smarty or H&S.

H&S. no issue at all with a mild tune on a non deleted truck. Tuned with a "100 hp" tune since it had 80 miles and I am over 40k with 0 issues. Mileage went from a average of 15 to over 17. Then again I would have paid the $500 for the tuner just to turn off the damn seat belt chime in my 2012.
