bought a truck with a smarty tune on it (24 valve) and previous owner wont send me the smarty, so....can i buy another smarty and load a stock tune on the truck then just use the newly bought smarty? or do i need to go to the dealer and have the truck reflashed as stock and start fresh with the new smarty?
 
his smarty is useless if its got the tune on your truck. you sure he left the tune in it?

but i have no idea how to fix it if its still got the tune.

Buy a new Smarty, have dealer flash your ECM. After that, you're good to go, and he has a worthless brick
 
i had made another comment...dont know what happened to it. Oh well.
